Fasthosts

I was a customer on one of Fasthosts shared Linux packages for a few months awhile back and am very glad to see the back of them. The service specs and prices were reasonable enough but I found performance and stability to be far too variable, though you can't expect miracles from any shared hosting.

By far and the away my main reason for escaping their clutches was the customer support. It was easily the slowest and most unhelpful I have ever experienced, rarely providing any kind of solution. Naturally customer support at a hosting provider is far more important than with most businesses and being unable to communicate with a knowledgeable human can be a death sentence.
